I love how the perogies are homemade and do not use any fake ingredients like powdered cheese and instant potatoe mix etc., I also love the friendly service because as soon as I walk through there doors I am greeted with a smile, and there prices may be higher than the rest but that's because they use only real ingredients, so yes it is worth it, honestly, there is no competition when Karen's home cooking is around!

Firstly named Red Apple after the discount store across the street from a local skate spot, Red Apple quickly transformed into Green Apple due to a rival skate gang under the same name. At the end of each summer in the early 90?s, local skateboarder Roan Barrion would make skateboard video's that would showcase Winnipeg's best skateboarders using the Green Apple name. It would later bloom into something more than local, thanks to the creative minds of Ryan McGuigan and Mike McDermott. The saga continues
