The food was fairly good. Not a huge menu but good varied items to choose something to eat from. Try their award winning seafood chowder. The service was prompt and courteous. Read more
Ontario's preeminent purveyor of oysters, shellfish and seafood. Rodney Clark, aka 'The Urban Oysterman,' has been serving the very best of the sea since 1987. Visit www.rodneysoysterhouse.com for a list of seasonal items we see over the course of a calendar year.
I try and hit up Rodney's whenever I am in Van. Located on trendy Hamilton St. it's got some serious character. Sit at the bar for a great view of the oyster shucking and some lively chat with the bartenders. Staff is friendly with plenty of personality. They have an oyster happy hour 4-6pm (if I remember correctly) where it's half price oysters. And seeing as many of the oysters and ingredients come right out of the ocean around BC the food is beyond fresh. And in case you were wondering, this place has the best selection of oysters I have seen yet. 11 different kinds on the last visit. My favorites being Fanny Bay and Kushi. Good selection of craft beer on tap too. Read more

Hate the wait but love the food. If you come at 10pm on a Saturday still a 10 minutes wait. I have been here a couple of times before and always excellent. The meatballs in tomato sauce just amazing. We had the zucchini and rabbit pasta dishes and both so good. Cooked just al dente, good amount of flavour and just enough coating of sauce. Very good selection of by glass or bottle wines. Read more
