Blaisdale Montessori School, is a private Montessori School founded in 1969 by Mrs. Eleanor Wilson. It has a long and proud tradition as one of the first Montessori Schools in Canada. The principal of the School is one of the few principals in Canada who was trained directly from Mrs. R. Montessori. The school has 7 campuses throughout Ontario predominantly in the Durham and York regions. The schools are located in Pickering, Scarborough, Ajax Oshawa and Bowmanville. The School services all surrounding areas including, Toronto, Markham, Stouville, Clarington, and Port Perry. The School cares for and educates, Infant, Toddler, Pre-School and School-aged chidren from 12 months to grade 8. In addition to regular school hours, the school provides before and after school child care and during holidays throughout the year.

It is our goal to provide challenging experiences appropriate to the developmental needs of each child. In addition to providing stimulating experiences for children, we also believe that learning can be fun. Through positive reinforcement, encouragement and a warm and loving environment, our qualified staff encourages the children to develop self-esteem, pride, respect and an understanding of themselves and others. Our centres work in conjunction with area high schools and colleges by allowing students to participate in our program while obtaining credits through cooperative education.
