We are one of only a handful of venues in Canada to have live music 7 nights a week. We feature a variety of different styles. Once known as a blues bar alongside the nostalgic Blue Note Cafe, The Royal George has expanded its acts to include Top 40, Country, Folk, and Rock. Each night of the week features something new and different. It's a place for the musical connoiseur to enjoy big name acts in an intimate environment. It's also a place for those with a little less musical inclination, to just come and hang out with friends, play some pool, darts, VLTs, have a few drinks, and hit up the dancefloor.Established in 1913, the Royal George commemorates its musical history and Winnipeg Community spirit with a collage of records, signed pictures, and memorobila that cover every square inch of the walls.

Fox & Hounds Tavern has been hosting memorable moments for friends since 1928. "It conveys the impression of being a social centre wherein one may with ease and comfort pass a quiet hour with a neighbour" This was written in The Hotel News in 1928 and remains true today... Although perhaps the tavern has never really been as quiet and subdued as this journalist may have us believe. Almost a hundred years later, Fox and Hounds still lives in the tradition of the tavern for the weary traveller and the gathering place for the neighbourhood common-folk. It keeps the 'public house' feel with wooden furniture, soft lighting, a pool table, dart boards, a tap constantly flowing with beer, and a bartender who knows your name and preference.
