Hydraulic seeding, also called hydro-seeding, is a quick and little-targeted substitute for the installation of sod (peat).
This chosen process consists of mixing the seeds with fertilizer, a binding product and mulch with water in precise proportions inside a tank. This mixture is then projected on the surface to be sown using a machine equipped with a powerful pump, mounted on a trailer or an all-terrain truck. Mulch made from recycled paper or other binder forms an environment that retains moisture, protects seeds during germination, prevents erosion and water runoff. It decomposes to make room for seedlings within a few weeks.
