Butterfly Progressive Montessori Preschool follows a progressive approach to the Montessori method. We offer a half day preschool program, which promotes the acquisition of new skills through exploration and manipulation of classroom materials as per the traditional Montessori methods. However, we believe in cultivating the whole child and we know the importance of allowing creativity to promote growth. With this belief, our progressive methods add some flexibility to our Montessori curriculum. We regularly have the children participate in the decisions behind their work. The teacher’s role in the classroom is to foster and satisfy the curious minds of the children in the areas of practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, culture and art. We provides parents with a variety of child care services that include: Vancouver Preschool, School Age Child Care, Preschool Summer Camp and School Age Summer Camp. Little Rae Kids Club offers a home setting for children 3 to 8 years old and we are fully licensed and insured child care provider. We offer parents both full and part time spaces for each of our programs. We encourage parents to inquire early and reserve a spot for their children 3 months before their first day at the centre. Little Rae Kids Club spaces are limited and we tend to fill up fast.
