THE DOWNTOWN NEW WEST BIA BUSINESS FLOURISHES IN NEW WESTMINSTER The Downtown New Westminster Business Improvement Area (BIA) represents the interests of over 150 property owners and the 500 businesses located from the waterfront up to Royal Avenue, and from the Patullo Bridge to 10th Street. The BIA provides many benefits and enables property owners and businesses to work together on an ongoing basis as a non-profit society whose mandate is to assist in the revitalization and promotion of Downtown New Westminster.

The North Shore Disability Resource Centre (NSDRC) provides programs and services based on the belief that all people are important to their community.The North Shore Disability Resource Centre directly serves over 450 individuals through our residential and community based programs. Our Information and Advocacy Program received over 1,000 calls last year and provides programs and services to people with disabilities, their families, friends and networks on the North Shore. We make every effort to ensure that their voices are heard, and that they are supported to participate in their community as fully and independently as possible.
