Born and raised in Simcoe Ontario, Terry graduated from Mohawk College in 1974 as a Control Systems Technologist. He moved to Tillsonburg Ontario in 1978 and has been married to his wife Monica for 38 years. Terry and his wife now live on a two acre property between Tillsonburg and Delhi and have 3 grown children: Mike (Toronto – Civil Engineer) married to Jen, Lauren (Tillsonburg – Legal Assistant) married to Thom, and David (Halifax – RIM). He is also blessed with 3 Grandchildren and of course their dog Maggie. Hobbies include Model Railroading, Trains, and Gardening as well as being an avid curler and a member of the Tillsonburg and District Curling Club. He is also a member of the St.Paul's United Church, and the Treasurer at the St.Paul's Men's Club. Terry is also a Director and Treasurer of the Ingersoll Fasteners/Infatool Action Centre and a past President and Treasurer of the Tillsonburg Minor Baseball Association.
