Strongly rooted in its environment, a true floret of gourmet tourism on the Magdelen Island and a flagship company in the Quebec brewing sector, À l’abri de la Tempête is a must for all visitors to the archipelago and contributes greatly to the Islands fervor throughout Quebec. Working with the territory and its artisans is the source of inspiration for our team. The picking of seaweed and herbs, making a smoked malt, using berry fruits from the Islands, are some examples of how we put our regional wealth in each of our beer recipes. The use of local resources is a guarantee of authenticity and freshness that contributes to the creation of more than 30 jobs and the development of unique and distinguished beers.

This is slower than other breweries and it results in a slow produced beer that is wonderfully full of flavour from our fermentation stage.
