Canadian Jesuits International was founded by the Jesuits in English Canada. We proclaim the Good News of justice and peace within the universal mission of the Society of Jesus. We support poor and marginalized peoples struggling for social justice and dignity in developing countries. We carry out educational advocacy in Canada, linked with our overseas work. We support our partners by providing personnel, sharing analysis, giving voice to their hopes and aspirations and by raising funds for their work. We work with Jesuit and other partners rooted in the Jesuit tradition in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean in: education, pastoral care, social services, community development, agriculture, humanitarian assistance, peace-building, human rights, gender equity, children's rights and economic justice. Our educational advocacy draws upon an extensive network of Jesuit and other partners around the world to raise Canadians' awareness of the struggles and aspirations of people in the developing world
