MCAMMember CategoriesMCAM is a non-profit trade organization affiliated with the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada and represents plumbing and heating contractors in their relationship with the construction industry, legislative departments of municipal and provincial government and other industry-related bodies. Also represented are Associate Members (suppliers to the mechanical contracting trade), Affiliate Members (representatives of related associations) and Mechanical Services Contractors. There are separate fee structures for each category. The Manufacturer, the businessman, the doctor, and just about every known group has its own organizationOur MandateIt being a self-evident fact, plainly demonstrated by past experience, that centralization and unity of action among the mechanics, specialists, skilled workers and all workers in the iron and steel industry of this country is necessary in order to successfully deal with the ever-growing encroachments of organized capital, and the many grievances to which our trade is subjected which require speedy adjustments, and upon the satisfactory settlement of which may hinge the welfare of all brothers and sisters in our craft, therefore, believing that this may best be obtained by united action and effort, thus forming a solid representative organization, each pledged to carry into effect the immortal injunction that 'an injury to one is the concern of all,' we pledge ourselves to make any reasonable sacrifice in order to uphold these principles and to advance and perpetuate the Union

We are located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and represent workers in the Telecommunications, Alarm, Call Centre and Lotteries industries. We currently represent approximately 900 members, who work for MTS Allstream, AAA Alarms, ADT Alarms, ProTELEC Alarms/Servo Electronics, TigerTel Communications and Manitoba Lotteries. Our members have been working hard looking after Manitoba’s telephone needs since 1904, and with technology changes they now install and repair a multitude of services including High Speed Internet, TV, and Wireless. Other members are hard at work supplying homes and business’s with alarm and security needs as well as handling important after hours emergency calls through call centres. Our members at Manitoba Lotteries are working hard to install and maintain slot machines and VLT's in Manitoba's casino's and Bar's.
