The Kootenay Cottage is located on the south side of the West Arm of the Kootenay Lake, in the Nelson Range of Mountains (the historic town of Nelson, B.C., is located on the same side of the West Arm). The cottage is just steps away from Mill Creek trailhead and the West Arm Provincial Park. The shore of the Kootenay Lake is a short 5 minute walk, where guests may enjoy the public access to a white sandy beach. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, fishing or a dip in the lake. The cottage is close to amenities including biking, fishing, golf, the Kootenay Lake Ferry, restaurants, pubs and Ainsworth Hot Springs. Kokanee Provincial Park and Kokanee Glacier, where the hiking trails and views are one-of-a-kind, are only a short drive or bike away. Kaslo is just a 30 minute drive along the glacier lake.
