Great restaurant. Would definitely go back many times over. Read more
This stylish Leslieville restaurant and wine bar takes the marriage between food and grape seriously. Every dish here is predicated on a particular wine with which it might be fruitfully paired. On the list, find comfort-food favourites, like roast chicken and flat-iron steak. On-line reviewers rave about the crispy chicken tails. The wine list at this former auto parts warehouse is more robust, spilling over with reds, roses, whites and sparklings, an impressive 40 of which are available by the glass. The décor is pleasingly minimalist, with a long bar, partially open kitchen and spacious dining area. Service is impeccable, and regulars come back for the abundance of happy-hour specials, like on-the-house amuse-bouches and $1 oysters.
Jerrys Fish and Chips has recently moved to Scarborough. We have been serving the North York community for over 50 years! We specialize in homemade battered halibut. When the owner Jerry was asked why he decided to take over the business he replied, "I like fish!" The diner also serves burgers and souvlaki. We also have an early bird breakfast special from 8:30-11am for $4.95. You will love our food and we will keep you coming back with our friendly service and great prices.

If there's any truth in advertising, then this place's name says it all. British Style features hand-cut fish and chips. Fish include pickerel, cod, halibut and haddock served with freshly cut chips. Food is affordable, in the the $6-$9 range. The health conscious will be happy to hear that owner/chef Ali Meghji has cut back on the grease (to the disappointment of Rochesterians?) in what is otherwise authentic British cooking. The also feature regular Canadian pub foods like onion rings, salads and fried clams, shrimp and scallops.

This is the best fish and chips that I've ever tried in Toronto. (I went there on the advice of a friend and would have never have gone here without that recommendation). It's a very unassuming place, with fairly drab surroundings. But the fish is top notch, with large portions at a good price. I don't really know what else to say besides that. It's fish and chips and it's GOOD. (If it weren't for the location, I'd come back more often.) Read more
