The place is great, the food is delicious and honestly, everything is quite fun when you go there. The only thing that doesn't make it a 5* experience is the price... It's probably around 20-25% overpriced, but still, it's a must go once in a while ! Read more

Set in historic Old Montréal, Modavie offers a unique Mediterranean culinary experience with international touches. Stone walls and beautiful wood paneling add to the warm, intimate décor that is appropriate for all types of special events. Sunday through Thursday, the restaurant can accommodate evening groups of up to 100 people. As a fixture on the Montréal Jazz scene, Modavie hosts live music performances nightly to complement the great food and drink.
Live jazz, great wine, wonderful meal... Need I say more? We got a table upstairs, next to the band. Usually, you'd want to keep a distance, but this was wonderful. The singer was great. The wine selection was varied. The meal was very well done. The lamb was as good as they promised (which is not always the case at all restaurants) Our server was lovely and very accommodating. They did charge us an extra $8 for splitting the lamb-chops between the kids. If I am paying $220 for my meal, I don't expect that. Still, it did not affect the beautiful evening we had. Read more
