Luther Village is owned by the Manitoba Northwestern Ontairo Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church In Canada.Our ten cabins, lodge and chalet, range from rustic log to newer luxury, can house families, individuals or groups from as few as one or two up to 20 (total beds – 96). The log dining hall seats up to 90 people comfortably. Our large chapel and Wolf's Ridge - multipurpose youth games room - are available for a variety of uses and set ups. There are two campgrounds with hook-ups for water, electricity and sewer in the main campground sites.Fellowship and community are two common words adults and youth alike believe of Luther Village. Our summer programs available for families, adults and youth campers encourage individuals in their lives while playing at the waterfront, hiking, fire building, learning new skills in the archery range, singing at campfires, joining with others at our nightly campfires and worshiping together under the majestic pines.

Led by visionary community leaders and Elders who understood the significance of culturally-based and Aboriginal-led services and leadership to social transformation, both on an individual and collective basis and who courageously and tenaciously set about the tasks of bringing their vision to action. Ka Ni Kanichihk provides a culturally safe environment where the greatness and gifts of all peoples are honoured and where our cultural practices and values are practiced and Aboriginal people can 'just be who we naturally are.' This course builds on the skills acquired in Better People Pictures. Participants will begin to develop their own unique style as they learn more advanced techniques and approaches to capturing the essence of their subjects.Advanced Portraiture8 sessionsBring your imagination to life! This class focuses on giving you the tools, techniques, and above all, encouragement and support to develop your own unique style of portraiture. This intensive 8-week course is led by artist and professional photographer Liane Bergen who will guide you through planning, setting up and capturing creative portraits and show you how to edit, retouching and prepare your images for print. The course concludes with a public exhibit of students' work at the PairieView Gallery.
