One of the best kept secrets of Kitchener. Capers has amazing east coast pub fare with an extra edge. This restaurant embodies the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", as it brings the soul of Nova Scotia into the heart of Kitchener.
You would most likely pass by this little gem, but it's a hidden treasure that'll make you wonder how you never knew it existed.It has the perfect low key atmosphere well-suited for any occasion. Whether it be a first date or a gathering of old friends, Capers makes everyone feel at home.
Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots to dine in Kitchener!

Ok so Sauga is full of great places, and Axia is one of those great places we always meet friends at when we're in the region.
The sushi here is quality and consistent. You can tell right away that they use a higher grade of fish than some of the local AYCE (all-you-can-eat) places. The Dragon rolls and spicy rolls are pretty much different than any other place I've been to which keeps me coming back.
The wifey doesn't like sushi, so she likes to stick with the Chinese and Thai food which she absolutely loves.
The look and feel is nice, sort of like an outdoorsy theme. Service was friendly and fast and the bill is reasonable for a place like this.
Anyways, give Axia a try, it's one of those places that'll keep you coming back for more.

Visit this handsome Oakville microbrewery restaurant, one of a slew of international locations, for a taste of the exotic. Ho-hum pizza gets reinvented on the brasserie-style menu as flammequeche, a flatbread developed in the Alsatian region of France. And the Campagnarde open-faced sandwich offers a yummy lower-carb alternative to convention. Still, there's plenty of comfort food on the books, so burgers and battered fish get fair play here. As for the other side of the menu, The 3 Brewers is celebrated for its fresh, non-pasteurized beer, made on the spot in gleaming copper tanks from the purest ingredients (the shoulder-high sacks of barley from which the stuff originates are in full view of your meal) and according to traditional recipes that hail back to the place's beginnings in northern France. A splendid patio is inviting in the summer.
