ardith one was established in 1971 by Bev (Ardith) and Bill Don with the prime objective of offering quality, functional pottery at affordable prices. Bill (former accountant) and Bev (former bank employee) both felt the entrepreneurial pull to do something different back in 1970 when they first met. The result was ardith one, Canadian Pottery & Crafts . We have represented hundreds of potters over our 45 years of business and it has been a very satisfying experience.
P.O.E. Design was founded in 1992. Our original namewas 'Peace of Earth,' and we were involved in sellingwool sweaters and Mexican pottery at Flea Markets andweekend festivals.In May of 1994, our first location opened in the PickeringTown Centre. That store operated until 1998.In October of 1994, our Port Perry location opened.In 1998, the name changed to P.O.E. Design inresponse to changes in the marketplace.
