The Vision of Chief Cornerstone ChurchThe vision of Chief Cornerstone Church is to develop a family Church that will address the spiritual needs of people by:providing a meeting place for where people can receive, know and experience God's love, hear His Word, and be disciplined;offering a safe place for Christian counseling and guidance for men, women, elders, youth, and children;to reach First Nations people for Christ by sharing the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ;having a community outreach within the core are of the city;offering bible studies, seminars, and workshops;developing individuals as a congregation towards self-directed and self-governing principles that will promote spiritual growth and greater self-sufficiency and stability;ensuring that effective Bible based teaching and preaching methods are used to facilitate the spiritual growth of members and their ministries. The long-term vision to help establish family churches in the First Nation communities and to help develop strong Christian leadership within their communities.
St Matthew's is a diverse inner-city faith community whose mission is to serve our neighborhood faithfully and be a healing and transforming presence in our world.We have a long history starting in 1896 and have a full and exciting future.we're an active, justice-seeking presence in our inner-city neighborhood of West Central Winnipeg. We are committed to being a welcoming and hospitable place for people to experience the heart of God in the heart of the city. All are welcome at our table.As well as regular opportunities for community, spiritual practice, worship and service, St.Matthew's is actively engaged with Grain of Wheat Church-Community in converting our church building into a multi-purpose complex called the WestEnd Commons. It will have 25 units of affordable rental housing for families, a Neighbourhood Resource Centre and a new, beautiful worship space.641 St.Matthew's is home to 5 worshipping congregations:St.Matthew's, an Anglican English language congregation.Grain of Wheat Church-Community , a non-denominational, lay led, eucharist centered worshipping community;Shiloh Apostolic, a smaller pentacostal congregation;The Emmanuel Mission at St.Matthew's, an Anglican congregation with origins in Southern Sudan who worship in the Dinka language;Agape All Nations, a small pentecostal community;Our Monday to Saturday life is also busy
Faith Bible Church in Winnipeg welcomes you every Sunday for our weekly worship service at 10:45 AM. We also have Sunday school for the children at 9:30 AM, and bible study on Thursdays at 8:15 PM. Come join our family and fellowship with us.
