Established in 1983, Upper Canada Child Care Centres is a growing family of over 50 child care programs, day camps and a residential camp operating throughout North York, York Region and Simcoe County.Our child care centres offer full-time programs for children 3 months to 12 years. Most of our centres also offer half-day nursery school programs.Most of our centres offer day camp programs for children 6 - 12 years.Kettleby Valley Camp and Outdoor Centre, a partnership between Kettleby Valley and Upper Canada Child Care Centres, offers day camp, residential and outdoor education programs for children 6 - 14 years.

From homework clubs to sports, creative arts and computers, the Sir John A. Macdonald program provides lots to keep the active, school-age child happy and busy! Founded in Italy, the institute of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the labour of Maria Scrilli, known as the Servant of God; Sr. Maria Teresa of Jesus, born in Montevarchi, Italy, Maria always possessed a marked tendency toward prayer and a powerful connection to the Carmelite devotion to spirituality. She felt the calling of the Lord and overcame many obstacles to at last fulfill her passion to become a Carmelite Sister.Maria`s love for the Blessed Virgin Mary guided her as she formally dedicated the foundation of her Institute on October 15, 1854. She shared her contemplative and apostolic ardour with the Sisters who followed her.The Sidney Ledson Institute curriculum is designed to create this same neural enrichment in the minds of ordinary children. Several activities are used to achieve this goal. Traditionally, early reading instruction was the principal method used to assure lofty intelligence. Preschool reading therefore plays a prominent role in the Institute program. The mind-expanding power of the Sidney Ledson reading program is well known and well-documented.
