Founded in 1955, Community Living Mississauga is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides support to individuals who have an intellectual disability.We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of people we support, family members and concerned members of the community.Our vision is that all people will live in a state of dignity and respect, and share in all elements of living in a community which is welcoming, accepting and inclusive of all individuals. All people will have the freedom to make choices and decisions that enable them to achieve self-determination.
Volunteer MBC is a volunteer centre that fosters and develops volunteerism in the Region of Peel, serving the cities of Mississauga and Brampton, and the Town of Caledon, by raising awareness of the power of service.A united community through volunteerism that ensures a safe and healthy environment where people truly care for each other. To promote and support volunteerism in an effort to connect all people to meaningful volunteer opportunities.
Programs offered are free of charge and responsive to the needs of the community. Staff, volunteers and neighbours work together to identify and discuss issues and concerns, develop and provide services and programs to meet the needs of the community, and promote community participation.
