If you're heading from the ferry, the first thing you'll likely see are gigantic white letters announcing 'FARMERS MARKET' on the hillside at the corner of Highway 525 and Bayview Road. Turn right at the intersection and soon you'll see brightly colored flags and a sea of white tents. Gwaii Society for Community Peace is a nonprofit organization located in Masset, Haida Gwaii, B.C. Operating since 1995, our first volunteer Board of Directors, established the Tllaa Juuhldaa Naay Transition House. Our organization has expanded, with the inclusion of additional progams, based on community needs. Our efforts focus on: the saftey of women and children, reducing violence, and promoting peace on Haida Gwaii. VISION STATEMENTThe Haida Gwaii Society for Community Peace (HGSCP) exists to provide equality housing and support for survivors of family violence on Haida Gwaii. Our Board members will provide leadership and direction to develop a progressive Transition House, which will assist residents to meet their needs. We envision programming that will provide secure housing and opportunities in life skills to build selfesteem and awareness. HGSCP will provide information that fosters assertiveness, respect and accountability, to enhance open communication; becoming an integral part of all communities on Haida Gwaii. and to promote safety and/or equality for all persons on Haida Gwaii

The Queen Charlotte Visitor Centre is operated by The Friends of the QC Visitor Centre (FVIC), a non profit society incorporated in 2003 by a group of local, long-time islanders who recognized the need to have the Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre and it's services have become an integral part of the 'Islands' community of Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands.

Hidden Island Resort is a mixture of RV sites, camp sites and cabins. We cater to fishing and nature enthusiasts and many regulars visit us each year. As the resort grows we are continually working at expanding the range of services to support our visitors with the amenities that make HIR a special place.

Balancing different ocean uses while protecting marine ecosystems is a challenge faced by people around the world. Proactive and coordinated efforts to manage human activities will ensure healthy oceans for present and future generations.
