Gord Lee established Custom Craft Construction in 1967 and began completing his own design and creative work. It was then that his artistic side began to flourish and his drafting table would come to life every time a project was presented to him. From restoring century homes, renovating bank buildings, re-creating an old movie theatre into several boutiques, to designing new custom builds, his work is a reflection of his character and love for working with his clients to craft their dreams into a reality. Custom Craft Construction provides everything from consultation, to design to bring any form of construction to life. We renovate and restore historical buildings and homes in keeping with their original and traditional design or modernizing if so inclined. We build new custom homes and specialize in additions that look as though they have always been there. We will happily work through changing the layout of a home that needs new rooms or removing rooms to create more openness.

Four decades in the construction business have taught Don Clarke that the most important thing about any construction project—large or small, is that it is done right. Starting off as a 16-year old apprentice in his uncle Roy’s construction business, Don learned that business from the ground up. Upon completion of his carpenter’s license, Don hired on with Ellis-Don, a prominent Toronto construction firm, specializing in high-rise construction and institutional buildings, such as the Markham-Stouffville General Hospital. In 1987 Don and his wife, Donna, founded Don K. Clarke Construction, focusing mainly on projects in the Trent Hills area. Don looked after getting projects done right, as well as on time and on budget, while Donna looked after the company’s day-to-day operations, as well as strategic planning for the future.
