In 1957 Jack purchased the interests from his father and the business was incorporated under the name J.M McDonald Lumber, which it remains today. In 1983 McDonalds became part of Home Hardware, which is owned and operated by independent retail lumber and building supply dealers. McDonalds has always occupied the same location but has greatly expanded over the years. We are the proud owners of a family-operated home improvement business. We specialize in replacement windows from North Star Manufacturing. We also sell Pella and Bonneville products, as well as replacement doors, storm doors, 3 season sunrooms, vinyl decking, etc. Our father began the business in 1959, and we grew up working for him in the summers and then working full time after we finished school. Our father retired in 1997, and now we are continuing the same honest, hard-working ethics on which our father founded this business.
