The Rickshaw Theatre, formerly known as the Shaw Theatre, was built in 1971 as part of the Shaw Brothers' (Sir Run Run Shaw and Tan Sri Runme Shaw) worldwide movie empire. The Shaw Brothers are the most significant film production company in the history of Hong Kong cinema. Over the past nine decades, the Shaws have amassed a collection of over 800 titles. By the early sixties, the Shaw empire had incorporated 35 companies, owned 130 cinemas, 9 amusement parks and 3 production studios.

At PiDGiN, we see no need for distinctions between casual and fine dining. A restaurant can be both beautiful and comfortable; cuisine can be at once delicate and approachable. As dining perspectives have changed, so too has the line between east and west. Our experiences travelling and working in various continents is reflected in our food, bar, and even on our walls.

Our goal is to create an atmosphere that is both warm and inviting, keeping our newest venue true to it's surroundings. Located in an age old heritage building, we have maintained as much of the original brick walls as possible - creating an environment that is both contemporary and classic. Our menu is designed to reflect this this casual appeal while providing a high level of service and commitment to quality. Gyoza Bar is Owner Seigo Nakamura's dream, which has been in the making for countless years. Vancouver's first "Gyoza Bar" is introduced with great anticipation to the North American market.

L'Abattoir is located in the center of Gastown between historic Gaoler's Mews and Blood Alley. The restaurant was built in the 19th century and is the site of Vancouver's first jail. Originally buttressed to the city's main butchery and meat packing district, the name L'Abattoir pays homage to the neighbourhood's colourful past. Set in a refurbished brick and beam building that combines classic French tile work with industrial fixtures, natural wood, and glass and steel finishes, the restaurant offers a bar and lounge setting, elevated dining room and plush, sun soaked atrium. Chef Lee Cooper and Owner / Operator Paul Grunberg are dedicated to highlighting the finer points of eating and drinking in L'Abattoir's informed but informal setting. French influenced West Coast fare is paired with Wine Director Lisa Haley's eclectic wine program and Bar Manager Thor Paulson's innovative cocktail list to offer a truly unique dining experience.

Established in 2010, TW Design specializes in custom home design. We provide designs and drawings for the purposes of getting building permits and construction. We do both new buildings and renovations.
