Running August 20-24 in various Winnipeg venues, this year's fest will feature a number of free and tickets shows as well as community celebrations, workshops, film events, and industry networking. AMW will play host to a number of touring acts, including first visits from emcee Tall Paul, violinist Laura Ortman, music producer Astronomar, and hip hop duo Mob Bounce, and guitarist Logan Staats. We use current, best practice research in the field of youth development, social work, adventure therapy and experiential education to ensure that programs are safe, engaging, meaningful and challenging. We design programs that incorporate our core values, and themes from the participants' daily lives and agency defined therapeutic goals and aspirations for their groups. This includes (but is not limited to): leadership development, character building, positive peer, family, and/or staff relationships, group cohesion, and coping strategies.+ Staff +Lise Brown, BRS, MIRSWMomenta Facilitator and OwnerLise completed her Bachelor of Recreation in 2001, and her Masters of Social Work in 2007. She studied community development, wilderness therapy, program evaluation, and co-occurring disorders. Lise completed a Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy in 2012. Lise uses these skills to facilitate groups and counsel individuals both in urban and wilderness environments with a focus on physical and emotional safety, successful participation, fun, meaningful activity and group cohesion.
