LRGC has grown to the point where it can no longer operate effectively as a small closed society. We once need to grow to maintain our individual shooting disciplines, our membership, and our facilities.
These are challenging times, yet exciting times for our Continuing Education operation. With the continued downsizing of other Continuing Education programs throughout the Lower Mainland, our Fall course catalogue is now the largest and most complete in the province. Our home delivery distribution area for the course catalogue is also the largest in B.C., reaching homes in Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Langley, Cloverdale, South Surrey, and White Rock. This Fall 2010 course book is full of exciting new courses and Certificate Programs. We have also just become an official Microsoft I.T. Academy, which means that all our Microsoft courses now use official curriculum and testing options, allowing our students to achieve valuable, Microsoft Certifications, recognized world-wide. We have also become an official Microsoft Exam Provider and Testing Centre. In addition, our computer training lab will have brand new, state of the art, computers for the Fall term. Other exciting news includes a brand new C.E. teaching classroom in the Sedco Building in central Langley, which will become home for daytime courses, including the Dental Receptionist Program. Originally the pub was a Bank of Montreal. In fact, the wall behind the bar is where the old vault used to be. When Don and Bernice Gehring purchased the building in the 70's they had the intent to create a neighbourhood pub and chose the name because the tracks he rode on and stole from run east-west right across the street.
