Silent Voice is a not-for-profit charitable organization founded in 1975. We are the only organization in the GTA offering community and family-based support to Deaf children and adults in American Sign Language(ASL). We provide social-recreational programs in ASL for Deaf children and their hearing brothers and sisters and we teach hearing family members the language of ASL. Also, in partnership with other organizations, we offer special assistance and outreach services to disadvantaged Deaf adults living in the community.
Founded in 1955, Community Living Mississauga is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides support to individuals who have an intellectual disability.We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of people we support, family members and concerned members of the community.Our vision is that all people will live in a state of dignity and respect, and share in all elements of living in a community which is welcoming, accepting and inclusive of all individuals. All people will have the freedom to make choices and decisions that enable them to achieve self-determination.
Our mission is to serve humanity as a whole, irrespective of Religion, Nationality, Caste or Creed, starting at home within our local communities.Our Goal is to provide individuals in need with basic necessities such as food, shelter, free healthcare services and culturally-sensitive communal living. On an international level, we are involved in the figth against poverty, promoting litearcy through our chairtable schools and striving to end hunger through our free grocery program offered to the students, families. Along with this provide the basic necessity of water by funding water exploration project while operating free healthcare clinics in third world countries. We als provide disaster relief to any country affected by natural disasters around the world. The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is the international coordinating body for Ukrainian communities in the diaspora representing the interests of over 20 million Ukrainians. The UWC has member organizations in 33 countries and ties with Ukrainians in 14 additional countries. Founded in 1967, the UWC was recognized in 2003 by the United Nations Economic and Social Council as a non-governmental organization (NGO) with special consultative status.
