TCE is a non-profit charitable organization that provides lifetime residential support, community participation, day services and outreach to long term care for adults with multiple disabilities and special communication needs.
Adapting to the needs of the individuals living at TCE, we provide support across various residential settings including group homes, apartments and townhouses, as well as outreach to a number of long term care homes in the Ottawa area.
Formed in 1952, CLAC is one of Canada’s fastest-growing unions. Operating through 15 member centres, it is the country’s largest national, independent, multi-sector union representing over 60,000 workers in almost every sector. Based on values of respect, dignity, and fairness, CLAC is committed to building better workplaces, better communities, and better lives. We are a union that believes there’s more to work than just work.
OCH provides approximately 15,000 homes to about 32,000 tenants, including seniors, parents, children, couples, singles and persons with special needs, within many communities across the City of Ottawa. We house a diverse population of varying languages, ethnicity and cultures. We are also the largest social housing provider in Ottawa and we manage two-thirds of the City's social housing portfolio. OCH is the second-largest housing provider in Ontario. Ottawa Community Housing was selected as one of the National Capital Region's Top Employers in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
