Danforth Pizza House is a Toronto institution that has been serving the city some of its best pies for over 50 years. Our pizzas are carefully prepared with only the highest ingredients that are locally sourced. The dough is handmade, the sauce is a lightly seasoned San Marzano, and the cheese a tightly-held secret. With a very faithful and ever-growing clientele base, we are proud to say that Danforth Pizza House is the oldest family owned and operated pizzeria in Toronto serving JUST pizzas, and has been a neighbourhood and city favourite for years!
A true Italian Trattoria located on Lansdowne Ave. just below St. Claire Ave. in Toronto. The idea behind the Big Ragu was to provide the neighbourhood with a relaxed venue for eating simple Italian food, cooked extremely well, accompanied by excellent wine, at a great price. At The Big Ragu, we are not particularly into trends and gimmicks. Home-made pasta, slow cooked braises, warm and cold salads, and classical desserts are our specialities.

Take a trip to old world Italy without ever leaving Toronto. Located in the fashionable area of Yonge and Eglinton, La Vecchia delivers the authentic taste of Italy with a genuine Italian ambiance. From the stone and stucco walls covered in Italian pictures and art, La Vecchia captures the essence of Italian dining with European flair.
Charming atmosphere, beautiful chandeliers and old stone walls covered with vintage black and white photos. The food was excellent, and our server was absolutely lovely. A bit pricey, but really a wonderful experience overall. One thing to note is the two-hour limit on dining, which is best to know about in advance. If you have a group that wants to reunite, two hours is kind of short, but that's the policy. Read more
Cafe Diplomatico was first opened in 1968 by Rocco Mastrangelo Sr., shortly thereafter younger brother Paul came on board. The brothers envisioned having a typical Italian bar where Italian nationals could gather in the morning over coffee. At a time in Toronto when outdoor dining was almost unheard of, the sunny patio quickly caught on and now almost 4 decades later what started out as an innovation in the neighborhood has now set the standard. Over the years the popularity of the Diplomatico has caused the bar to expand into a full restaurant eventually taking over the store next door as well. The dip (as it is affectionately referred to by it's many regulars) has had staying power due to it's versatile & reasonably priced menu paired with it's comfortable & unpretentious atmosphere. Approaching 5 decades the restaurant is still owned by the Mastrangelo family, younger brother Paul now runs it with Rocco Mastrangelo Jr.
An enthusiastic fan base of pizza-loving Torontonians have made this Italian delight a neighbourhood mainstay in the Beaches for 36 years. They come for real-thing pies with enticing handles like the Pavarotti, the Georgina and the Firenzi. More than just gourmet pizzas, Casa di Giorgio sings with a range of pastas and antipastis, all characterized by a focus on simple, flavourful preparation. Servings are generous and loaded with taste. The warm atmosphere at this cozy restaurant is overseen by a crew of friendly servers.
