The Grand Council of the Crees is the political body that represents about 18,000 Crees. We uphold responsibilities in respect to the environment, economic and community development, the Board of Compensation and other matters as decided by the board of directors. We are an elected council of 20 members, who all aim to represent the Cree people. We have offices in the Cree community of Nemaska as well as in Montreal and Ottawa.
