I formed my company with the aim of becoming the leader in providing quality golf course advertising. Several years of research led me to discover the enormous potential of this virtually untapped market.As I visited and played on different golf courses, I noticed that the benches, signs and ballwashers used were not of great quality, and usually showed wear. It occured to me that with the right materials and designs, I could replace the low quality products, enhance the look of golf courses, and provide a terrific vehicle for advertising all at the same time. The products my company has developed are a unique combination of natural beauty and durability. Our benches and signs consist of one hundred percent granite, with over twenty unique designs for our clients to choose from.

The Royal George has come a long way to be recognized as a top Venue in the Winnipeg music scene.We are one of only a handful of venues in Canada to have live music 7 nights a week. We feature a variety of different styles. Once known as a blues bar alongside the nostalgic Blue Note Cafe, The Royal George has expanded its acts to include Top 40, Country, Folk, and Rock.Each night of the week features something new and different.It's a place for the musical connoiseur to enjoy big name acts in an intimate environment. It's also a place for those with a little less musical inclination, to just come and hang out with friends, play some pool, darts, VLTs, have a few drinks, and hit up the dancefloor.Established in 1913, the Royal George commemorates its musical history and Winnipeg Community spirit with a collage of records, signed pictures, and memorobila that cover every square inch of the walls.

After many months of hard work by many volunteers in our community, the first library opened its doors on September 27, 1993. This building was an old 10x8x45 ft supply building from the defunct Sea Cadet camp at Hnausa which was purchased by Jim Pearn and Russ Bowdery for $2000.00 and was moved 95 miles for a cost of about $700.00 to its new location beside Phoenix School.Russ Bowdery, founding director and his crew of volunteers then had their work cut out for them. Bowdery was about to see his dream come true with the help of Herb Britton providing hammer and paintbrush, Wes Wiebe installing electrical wiring, Al Gerbrandt building steps and ramp, Tom Byrnes with his bobcat to move gravel and Gary Glavin with many other volunteers moving ties and looking after the many finishing details. Ties were donated by Tom Scoular and the carpet by Pat Fossay and Don Fleming.

Site Map In 1982, while visiting missionaries in certain countries of the Third World, the late Bishop Omer Robidoux (a wonderful missionary who devoted 48 years of his life to the cause of the less fortunate) was shocked by the deplorable conditions that the poor in those countries were subjected to.He saw the deep love of heroic missionaries, doing all they could to alleviate the suffering of what appeared to him as an ocean of misery and grief. But the resources available to those courageous men and women were so minimal, that little could be done to remedy the situation. It was then and there that he decided to do everything in his power to shoulder them in their God-given mission of providing the relief and the ray of hope that the destitute were yearning for. And so he founded The Call of the Poor to sensitize people to the plight of the needy, regardless of their race or religious belief, and to raise funds for their well-being.Since that beautiful moment when Bishop Robidoux founded The Call of the Poor, a few missionaries began to solicit his support.
