Although we are based in Winnipeg, we have members throughout Manitoba.Our organization was originally formed in response to the heightened threat to Winnipeg's extraordinary American elm population by Dutch elm disease. Over time, new threats have placed our urban forest at risk. Trees Winnipeg now works to not only preserve our elm canopy, but to promote species diversity, urban forest research, integrated forest management, and public participation.Together, we can make a difference.We hope you enjoy your visit

Toad ScheduleThe Toad in the Hole Pub has been a staple in Winnipeg?s Osborne Village since the doors opened in 1990. Proprietor Michael Monk took over in 2004, and has continued the tradition of great pub grub with a wide selection of premium domestic and import beer. The Wah-sa Gallery first began in 1976 at 331 Donald St. in Winnipeg when we purchased the gallery begun by Daphne Odjig and her husband, Chester Beavon. The original owners of the gallery were Janice Cardigan, Arlene Rosine and Gary Scherbain. The Wah-sa Gallery has continued the tradition initiated by Odjig who wished to highlight the works of Canadian Woodland Aboriginal artists. Our main emphasis continues to be the Woodland Tradition, centred in Manitoba and Ontario. The Wah-sa Gallery has also published Canadian Woodland Aboriginal limited editions and art cards which we retail through our own gallery and a number of other galleries and outlets across Canada.

The Happy Cooker opened its doors to Winnipeg in September 1973. We have been proudly serving Winnipeggers now for over 40 years! The passage of time has been very exciting indeed and we have seen many changes in the kitchenware industry. Changes in staples such as knives and cookware, electrical and gadgets have been significant over this four decade period.In 1999 we lost everything in an infamous but destructive fire on Osborne Street. termined not to let this icon disappear, we rebuilt the business in the old Bank of Montreal Building situated on the corner of Osborne Street and Stradbrook Avenue.Osborne Village is an eclectic, bustling region in the City of Winnipeg. We have seen many changes in our time here with both businesses and people. 2012 saw Osborne Village voted ?The Best Neighbourhood? in Canada and we are very very proud to have been a part of that.
