I have gone to this office for many years and have found everyone very kind and professional. The advanced MAP readings are terrific and have pointed out problems that an optometrist may not see the conventional way. There is a handy optical centre right in the office where you can fill your prescription right away. There are only two downfalls and both the reason I have to leave. There is not enough parking nor is it handicap accessible. Too bad really but I imagine with the stringent disability laws coming out they will either get a ramp, elevator or move so they will not be in violation.

Family Physicians will be available to see you at our clinic at Super Seven Pharmacy in Pickering through Telemedicine for a large number of common conditions, prescription renewals as well as specialist referrals, blood tests and diagnostic imaging requisitions. We will then recruit a physician to work in our clinic and this improved access will help to reduce wait times and increase access to care. Walk In Clinic Pickering is working with Doctors and the Ontario Telemedicine Network to increase access to care for our patients in Pickering, Ajax and other areas. To see a Doctor through Telemedicine you just need your OHIP card, like a regular doctor's visit. Depression, anxiety, social phobia and other mental disorders are the result of distorted, irrational thought patterns. These habitual distortions in thinking, or automatic thoughts, can cause people to withdraw, panic, avoid situations or engage in other self-defeating or self-damaging behaviour. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) uses structured and directive techniques to alter dysfunctional thought patterns by weakening the connection between distressing situations and automatic reactions. Patients learns how to identify and manage irrational thoughts; to cope through controlled exposure. CBT combines two very effective forms of psychotherapy: cognitive therapy and behaviour therapy. Cognitive therapy helps you understand how certain patterns of thinking are causing and maintaining your symptoms. Distorted thinking influences our emotions and can lead us to feel depressed, anxious, and angry. By changing our distorted thoughts we can control our behaviours and feelings. Behaviour therapy weakens the connection between situations and the automatic reactions to them. Reactions such as withdrawing and isolating, avoiding situations, and engaging in other self-defeating or self-damaging behaviours, can cause depression, anxiety and other unpleasant feelings. Changing our behaviours we can control our thoughts and feelings.
