The North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC) was founded in 1998 by a coalition of Winnipeg organizations who were concerned about some of the trends in the north end of Winnipeg and who were aware of the good results that community development corporations in other parts of North American were achieving in revitalizing inner city communities. The NECRC was established to serve the community within the geographic area north of the CP tracks, south of Carruthers Ave., east of McPhillips Street and west of the Red River.The mandate of the corporation is to promote the social, economic and cultural renewal of the north end of Winnipeg. It does this by improving the quality and accessibility of housing, creating jobs, upgrading commercial and industrial areas, implementing employment development programs, improving the overall image of the community, and reducing crime in the community. The corporation provides co-ordination activities and a strategic focus for many of the community improvement activities taking place in the north end.NECRC is committed to the social, economic and cultural renewal of the North End of Winnipeg.NECRC defines its development goals through annual consultations and ongoing networking with North End residents and businesses

The Manitoba Home Care Program, established in September 1974, is the oldest, most comprehensive, province-wide, universal home care program in Canada. Home Care is provided to Manitobans of all ages based on assessed need and taking into account other resources available to the individual including families, community resources and other programs.The Home Care program was established to help people live at home, remaining independent for as long as possible, thereby avoiding or delaying the need for individuals to go into long term care facilities.

The Canadian Muslim Women's Institute Inc. (CMWI) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2006. CMWI is the first organization of its kind in Manitoba where Muslim women are both the leaders and participants of their own organization. The goal of the Institute is to promote and empower Muslim women and their families socially, economically and spiritually, within the spirit of Islamic principles. CMWI is run by an elected Board comprised of women of diverse cultures, ages and professions.

Bronx Park Park Community Centre was completely renovated in 2009. We are located at 720 Henderson Hwy in Winnipeg, MB (directly across from Safeway). We are home to both the Good Neighbours Active Living Centre and Bronx Park Community Centre Programs, jointly operating out of the new facility.Our 25,000 sq. ft. facility includes a gymnasium, multi-purpose room, classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, a computer lab and creative arts labs. We also host two outdoor hockey rinks and a new outdoor playground structure. We offer a number of rooms for rental at reasonable cost. (See Room Rentals for more info).We offer a variety of programs and sports registration, including Tuesday Night Bingo, Soccer and Hockey Programs. They learned a lot about soccer and mostly, they had plenty of fun. Big thanks to the coaches!Bourkevale's mini soccer season wrapped up June 26 after another another fun and exciting year. Bourkevale hosted several teams in 2014 and there was plenty of activity on the club's well-groomed soccer fields weekday evenings. Our volunteer ground crew did an exceptional job again maintaining the fields, including grass cutting, weed control and line painting. Without them, and our volunteer coaches and soccer convenor, Bourkevale would not have a soccer program. So remember parents, without your participation, there is no soccer!
