The monument at the right has been erected in October 1997 by the Municipality of Mattice – Val Côté with financial assistance from the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario. After spending the day fishing, coming back to camp to cook the catch of the day can be very rewarding. Or stop over at one of the many designated picnic areas around the lake for a shore lunch.
Or maybe you just want to relax. Staying at the cabin, sitting on the deck, reading a good book while listening to the call of the loons on the lake will be just as gratifying.

In 1959, Alphonse and Monique Aubin purchased the General Insurance business of Thomas Trembly and Son which had been established in Hearst since 1932. Mr. Aubin continued to operate under the same name for approximately 5 years before changing to the present name, Assurance Aubin Insurance Brokers Ltd..
