The Nanaimo and Region Disability Resource Centre (NRDRC) is a registered charity serving persons with disabilities since 1990. We identify needs and offer programs and services to promote greater participation in our community. Our trained staff and volunteers focus on individual goals and potential.

The Nanaimo Gymnastics School is a not-for-profit society dedicated to foster, improve and encourage amateur gymnastics, sportsmanship and good citizenship. Our mission is to develop an effective gymnastics program, that which maximizes skill acquisition in a safe and structured environment. Our coaches are certified under the National Coaching Certification Program and pursue other educational opportunities to become the best gymnastics coaches they can be. We welcome athletes ages 18 months to adulthood and have various programs to choose from, from drop-in to preschool and recreational structured classes, from birthday parties to a highly successful competitive program in the disciplines of Women's Artistic Gymnastics and Trampoline & Tumbling.

In 2009 we began construction of our new studio. Designed by our own team and perfectly suited for our unique day-to-day business activities, we've turned a plain warehouse space into a unique work space that staff and clients enjoy.

Vision testing is a detailed examination of your vision with and without your glasses/contact lenses. You will be shown many different types of lenses to determine your optimal prescription. Afterwards, we will discuss different options to help you see clearly and comfortably. Our experts will perform a number of tests to assess the binocular function of the eyes. It is essential for both eyes to work together in order to obtain the best vision possible.
