Founded in 2009 by Tao Wu, in the Rosedale-Yorkville area, the shop was born. We offer the community a unique Chinese style tea house experience. Our team consists of Tea Sommeliers who have completed the George Brown College program, and are continuing to learn by being with us. Rooted in ritual and remedy, the Witches Brew Kombucha bridges age old herbal traditions with the ancient art of fermentation to create a delicious kombucha. We are a small batch nano-kombucha-brewery. We offer our kombucha as a pick me up to your day. The Witches Brew uses organic produce, herbs and teas always and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. We believe in impacting the earth as positively as possible. Our kombucha is fresh on tap, not bottled. We have 16 oz/500ml biodegradable and compostable cups for immediate consumption (since kombucha should never be stored in plastic) as well as reusable glass bottles ranging from 500ml to 64oz that are filled right on the spot. By having refillable bottles available, fewer brown bottles make it into the recycling heaps, and you get to reuse your beautiful bottle over and over again.
