For the GVRD, GVWD and GVS&DD, the number of directors and voting allocation is determined by the number of members and municipal populations. The GVRD is composed of 23 members governed by 40 directors, each of whom is an elected councillor from one of the municipal or First Nations councils (with the exception of the director appointed to represent Electoral Area A).
