Visions One Hour Optical gives back through many corporate donations to local events and charities. Visions has sponsored Canuck Place, local sports teams, and been part of the popular food bank and Christmas tree programs. Visions is also proud to support third world eye care programs by donating new eyeglasses. The ten locations of Visions One Hour Optical are also donation points for used eyeglasses, which also go to the third world, giving needy people the gift of sight.

Dawson Heights is a non-profit housing complex set on lovely grounds populated by Garry oaks, cedar trees, many birds and a family of deer. At Dawson Heights we have created a bit of magic through having great people, strong management, clarity in our work and a beautiful property.

Beacon Community Services’ Thrift Shops offer affordable, convenient shopping for your entire family. And they’re a great place to donate items you no longer need. We’re proud that Beacon Community Services’ thrift shop proceeds are 100% dedicated to not-for-profit programs and services — and we’re grateful for the community support that makes them possible. For more than 30 years, Thrift Shop proceeds have funded many LOCAL Beacon services and programs. Services like the Out of the Rain shelter for homeless youth. Kids’ literacy and play programs. Quality care for seniors living with dementia. And more. We’re also proud to host free training programs at some Beacon Thrift Shops.
