In 2014 the CIA became officially recognized as a Kyoukai of the Nishi Tokyo Shibu in the Kantou Chiku Renmei of the All Japan Iaido Federation (ZNIR). Canada is the first foreign Country to join the ZNIR in its entire 60 year ongoing history. I have been practicing with the Canadian Iaido Association for several years now and It is a great group to train with. The classes are fairly small so the sensei has a lot of time for one and one teaching/corrections. Also the instructors are all volunteers which really keeps the costs for lessons low compared to Karate and Taekwondo classes Ive taken in the past.Read more
