On returning to Canada he obtained an MBA designation from the University of Western Ontario and came back to Edmonton and worked at various controllership positions before finally opening a public accounting office in Sherwood Park. In 2005 he obtained his real estate license and learned the trade primarily with NAI Commercial which had a separate business brokerage division headed by Pat Preston. Considerable success was achieved until the recession of 2008-09 and while Ace continued with Business Brokerage he also started a new public accounting practice at the Ace Lange Business Centre.
