A nod to both the University of Oxford and British sporting culture, the New Oxford sits proudly on the edge of Yaletown, an ideal addition to Vancouver's notoriously trendy neighbourhood. The room runs the width of the entire city block, and reveals rustic gray millwork, classic pub-style furniture and black & white photos with a pop art treatment. Open seven days a week, the New Oxford serves original and classic cocktails, craft beer and local, organic pub fare, with a busy brunch weekends and holidays.
The Union welcomes you to their dining room. Come unwind at the bar with a cocktail and can even enjoy the sunshine on their terrace. They offer wheelchair-accessible restaurant and wifi internet and are open nightly all week. They are easily accessible by car. Payments by Interac, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
Awesome Asian fusion brunch with Filipino and Vietnamese influences. It was so good that I did not even notice my potato hash had no meat! It was comprised of a unique combo of ingredients including chick peas,l and sweet potato. I tried a bite of the breakfast Vietnamese bun and that was tasty too. There are 8 seats in the patio, not the best view as you see the viaduct but when it is sunny and warm it was just right. The service was friendly and excellent. Several spritzers available too.Read more
Our one-on-one approach makes the Eyeglass Boutique The Eye & Vision Care Providers of Choice in the Vancouver area. We offer: Complete Sight Testing, Contact Lenses & Eyeglasses
The boutique opened in 2003, at a time when Vancouver was better known for conservative neutrals than bold, statement-making design. Under the vision and direction of co-owners Darci Ilich and Stephanie Vogler, The Cross changed the city's design landscape and quickly garnered international attention for its aesthetic, which is at once refined and relaxed, more playful than perfectly polished.

BC Family Hearing Resource Society Bright Futures for ChildrenIt's not important HOW you communicate, it's simply that you DO!The BC Family Hearing Resource Society is the largest agency in the province serving the families of children from birth to age five who are deaf or hard of hearing and/or who have speech and language learning challenges. BC Family Hearing Resource Centre (BCFHRC) is the name of our provincial program serving deaf and hard of hearing children. Our family-centred services have evolved and grown over 25 years and are designed to meet the unique needs of very young children and their families. When care is family-centred, parents are an essential and equal partner in their children's services. Our highly qualified clinicians are experts in speech, language, communication and hearing development, and work as a team to provide you with the most up-to-date treatment strategies. While our services are primarily directed toward children, we also help parents acquire the skills and information they need to help their children succeed.
We offer a variety of services, including personal or semi-private coaching, CrossFit (group) classes, golf performance training, and Team Strength & Conditioning Programs. But before you choose what you want to do, we’d like to meet you. We meet all our potential new clients for a one-on-one consultation in our facility where we will start to learn about each other.
We provide comprehensive eyecare, pediatric occupational therapy, brain injury assessments and vision training. Our clinic is dedicated to helping children and adults improve visual, motor, and other sensory skills to become more effective tools for school, sports, work and play. We are centrally located in Walnut Grove, just off Highway 1, in Langley. Vision problems may go unnoticed by teachers and parents. Learning, attention and behaviour challenges are common when visual development is delayed. Correcting these problems promotes comfort, confidence and ability to learn. Children do not need to know the alphabet or even speak to have an eye exam. We recommend that all children have routine eye exams at 6 months of age and yearly thereafter. We also offer pediatric occupational therapy, which can have a great impact on a child's life. Children with delayed gross and fine-motor skills, balance, and coordination problems can have a tough time. We can help. Call our office today!
We have been taking our daughter to the zoo since she was a toddler and she still loves going today. Perennial Zoo members we take full advantage of our membership and often use the zoo as a last minute spot to go spend time as a family. We feel that the Greater Vancouver Zoo does a nice job of providing large habitats for the animals under their care as well as keeping them well cared for and entertained. The train is loads of fun and a good way for people with limited mobility to see a large portion of the zoo without having to walk the whole way...the engineer is also the narrator and has interesting little tidbits to tell about some of the animals. They also rent bicycles that fit four people (two pedaling and two riding) for those who still want to get a little exercise but make sure they don't miss anything. The only small criticism I have is around the amenities. The snack bar is a little plain and the bathrooms could use a little sprucing up. That said I would rather they invest as much of their budget as they can into the care of the animals. Visit the Greater Vancouver Zoo for a fun and interesting family experience!Read more
