The Community Futures Manitoba Board of Directors is comprised of one representative from each of these organizations. Community Futures operates across rural and Northern Canada as a grassroots-driven program created to strengthen rural economies by enabling entrepreneurship and assisting in community economic development.There are 16 Community Futures organizations (CFs) established throughout rural and northern Manitoba. The goal of each CF is to assist the communities in their region to develop their economic potential. Come home to history! Dalnavert, a beautifully restored, late Victorian residence, is the former home of Sir Hugh John Macdonald, a premier of Manitoba and the son of John A. Macdonald, Canada's first prime minister. Named after the family's ancestral home in Scotland, Dalnavert is one of Western Canada's finest examples of Queen Anne Revival Architecture and has been designated a National and Provincial Historic Site. Designed to embody Victorian values, Dalnavert also incorporated the cutting-edge technology of 1895, including central heat, indoor plumbing, a telephone and electric lights. Continuing that theme, the new 5,000 square foot Visitors' Centre is a "green building" utilizing features such as geothermal heat, recycled/reclaimed materials and straw board construction.

The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (Royal MTC) is a community-based, registered charitable not-for-profit arts organization. MTC was Canada's first English-speaking regional theatre and, under founding Artistic Director John Hirsch, became a model for regional theatres throughout North America. Under Artistic Director Steven Schipper and General Manager Camilla Holland, Royal MTC now presents over 250 performances annually for more than 150,000 theatre-lovers. Royal MTC produces six plays at The John Hirsch Theatre at the MTC Mainstage, four plays at The Tom Hendry Theatre at the MTC Warehouse, as well as a regional tour, which annually travels to communities throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. Royal MTC also produces the Master Playwright Festival and the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival ( www.winnipegfringe.com ), North America's second-largest Fringe Festival.

TEAM was first organized as an Association in 1972, with the purpose of conveying the desires and concerns of managers to the Manitoba Telephone System through meaningful dialogue. By 1985, the majority of management employees decided a stronger voice was required for MTS to hear them. Consequently, with this majority, TEAM obtained certification from the Manitoba Labour Board in 1986 to be the bargaining unit for the management employees of the Manitoba Telephone System.
