The Village of Drake serves a community of approximately 250 and is centrally located 125 km east of Saskatoon on Highway 20, just south of Highway 16, and 140 km north of Regina. The nearest larger community is Lanigan (on Highway 16). Although small in numbers, residents of the village are big at heart and it is a great place to call home and raise a family.Drake was founded in 1908 and named after Sir Francis Drake. The municipality of the RM of Rudy #284 was incorporated December 13, 1909. The first meeting took place on Dec 15, 1909. The first office was located on the corner of King Street and Wilkinson Ave in Broderick. The RM office relocated to Outlook in 1976 and later moved to the Outlook Town Office Building in 1996. In March of 2001, we became a Joint Administration Office with the Town of Outlook.
