Dos Amigos" Restaurant is owned and operated by Mauricio Cabrera and Enrique Flores. Two friends, who have frequently returned to Mexico in search of the distinctive qualities that constitute "authentic Mexican cuisine" have collected and brought us, all the ingredients that take part in the tradition of creating genuine Mexican cuisine. At DOS AMIGOS we believe in enjoying a meal from beginning to the end, so. Our unique menu is design and offered to you with daily market availability of freshly hand picked delicacies and spices that are required.
Dos Amigos was a great experience. The intimate atmosphere great food and soft music made for a memorable evening. Drinks were also great, yet slightly expensive (as most things are in Toronto). At Dos Amigos we find an elegantly decorated Mexican restaurant that strives to master quality and preparation in all its offerings. The menu ranges from burritos to nachos to chicken mole to fresh snapper ceviche to filet mignon in guajillo sauce, a spicy red wine blend. The staff was small in the even smaller restaurant, but it only added to the intimacy. The staff was very helpful, always seeming to know exactly when we needed help. They were helpful and dressed very appropriately for the restaurant. I would recommend trying their martini drinks as the bartender was wonderful making them. This restaurant is a great place to bring a date. Bon appetite!Read more

This place has some nice food, lots of food served. The chicken, noodles, spring rolls were fantastic. The price of the food however comes at a high price and it's better to eat at a buffet for the price point for dinner.Read more

I have been going to Satay on the Road off and on for the better part of 15 years and have never once in that time had a disappointing meal. The food is always fantastic and despite having tried a myriad of different items I always come away from Satay satisfied. Of particualr note are one of the appetizers and one of the mains. First, the appetizer. Golden Baskets. They should call them by their full name...Golden Baskets of Amazing Tasty-ness with Just the Right Amount of Flavourful Spicy Goodness. I guess there isn't enough room on the menu for that though. These and the spring rolls are the perfect combo to kick off your meal. The second is Cashew Nut Chicken. I still hold Satay on the Road's Cashew Nut Chicken up as the gold standard for this dish. On a recent visit it made me miss Toronto...it is that good! The drinks list is kitschy too...they have their cocktail menu on those paper place-mats that used to be all the rage back in the '70s. Ah nostalgia. Anyway, located in the heart of Bayview Village...the area not the mall...Satay on the Road is a must dine for anyone who loves Thai and Malaysian food!Read more
