Historically, the name Millwright meant a person who kept a mill in good working order. In those days the Millwright both designed and supervised the construction of all parts of the mill. In addition, it was usually the Millwright who installed and undertook major repairs to the mills' equipment and machinery.
Semiahmoo House Society, a non-profit organization located in Surrey/White Rock, exists to provide quality services and support to people with disabilities and their families in the community. Our Philosophy. The Semiahmoo House Society is committed to the provision of highest quality community-based services for individuals who have a developmental disability. We believe that each individual has the right to those services, which will enable him or her to participate-to the greatest extent possible-in the same activities of daily life as a non-handicapped peer. We further believe that other rights-to liberty, personal freedom, dignity and meaningful life-can be enhanced and protected by ensuring that individuals have strongly dedicated personal, family and service delivery support systems in place.
