Abuse and assault, combat, or serious accidents are all examples of traumatic events that can cause an array of distressing symptoms. Anxiety, depression, flashbacks, nightmares along with nausea, and chronic muscle tension are common. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, mood, trauma and dissociative disorders and I can help you learn new ways of managing stressful memories and feelings. My experience working with combat veterans and survivors of recent and childhood abuse also provides much needed insight and sensibility into these matters. In my work I follow principles of CBT and I utilize Prolonged Exposure to treat PTSD. It is my commitment to support my clients on their journey in a professional, compassionate and respectful manner.
