Katsura is tucked away in a separate, but connected, building right beside the main building of the Prince Hotel.
The food here is very good but only slightly better than the cheaper places in the area. The teppanyaki tables are good. The sushi is fresh. The prices are high and the portions are not particularly large.
So why would someone choose this place over its cheaper competitors? It's the decor and the service that makes this place stand out. From the moment you step in out of the snow, you are surrounded by tasteful Japanese decor. In the main dining area, the place is elegant, simple and to the point. The design allows large groups to eat in semi-isolation. This is the restaurant you impress your dining partner, be it a business meeting or a first date.

I had the spicy sezchuan noodle bowl with beef and handmade noodles (D9). The noodles were chewy and delicious. The broth was flavourful. There was a good amount of tender pieces of beef in it. Also got some free chinese kimchi to start the meal, which was pretty good. All in all, a great meal and fair price. Will be back for sure!

I hosted my birthday party this past April at Casa Manila (group of 30!) I was esctastic to discover that they hosted a Sunday brunch buffet with their top menu selections.
Mila was my contact and she was AMAZING.
Food was absolutely delicious! I had several guests with a diverse array of dietary restrictions (including vegetarian and no pork). Every single guest complimented the selection and quality of food. We all left with fully satisfied bellies.
