The Vein & Laser Clinic has established itself in the forefront of the treatment of venous disorders in British Columbia. The clinic opened in North Vancouver in 1992, initially as the Lonsdale Vein Clinic and was the first in British Columbia to use duplex ultrasound at the bedside, not just in the evaluation but across the entire treatment process of varicose vein disease. The clinic is now run by a surgeon, Dr. Udwadia, who has over 25 years of surgical experience. The Vein and Laser Clinic is under the directorship of Dr. Rushad T. Udwadia, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and a member of the Canadian Society of Phlebology. Dr. Udwadia has been a surgeon since 1991.

The LGMC provides a centre for families focused solely on prenatal, postnatal and newborn care. Women have the opportunity to meet each of the physicians over the course of their pregnancies and to be familiar with the doctor delivering their baby. The LGMC is adjacent to Labour and Delivery in Lions Gate Hospital.
