Dr. G's office is state of the art in looks, equipment and staff. They take excellent care of my eye sight. I have Glaucoma and have had several operations to control the ocular pressure. I have a yearly examination. A few years back, Dr. G. recommended the OptoMap Machine, where he found that I have Focal Lattice Degeneration. Al Cameron Bluenose Motor Co. is a family run dealership operating in Parksville since 2003. Like the famous Bluenose schooner, Al hails from Nova Scotia where his uncle has operated the largest used car dealership in Atlantic Canada for the past 40 years. Al arrived on the West Coast in 1995 where he joined The Jim Pattison Group and began a career in the car business. After seven years consistently achieving top sales and superior customer service ratings with Toyota Canada, Al decided it was time to branch out on his own. One of the best sales Al ever made was to Bea, and the story goes that she loved the Toyota so much she married the salesman. With a background in agricultural science, wildlife studies and habitat mapping, Bea's introduction to the world of retail came when she and Al made a joint decision to open Bluenose Motor Co. Ltd. Bea's concern for the environment continues to be expressed in the Bluenose philosophy of environmentally responsible decision-making. In a relatively short period of time, Al and Bea have established a business that defies the stigma of the typical used car lot. The goal of the Bluenose Motor team is to offer the highest quality in pre-owned vehicles and the utmost in customer service. Bluenose Motor has an established reputation as a good place to do business and a company that values its connections to the community. Al currently serves as a Director on the boards of the Automobile Retailers Association of British Columbia, the Vehicle Sales Authority, and the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce. He is an active Rotarian and has just recently been elected to the position of Public Relations Chair for the Rotary Club of Parksville AM.
